Requirements
- Delhi Police envisaged to implement an IP based emergency communication system for paging and communication at selected market places across Delhi city.
- First phase of implementation included 26 market places.
- Control rooms at police stations to monitor the market places under its jurisdiction, typically located about 2 to 5 Kms away.
- Each marketplace to have 5 zones, with 2 speaker per zone.
- The control room will have two-way communication with the marketplace, enabling selective and all-zone paging, as well as playback of pre-recorded messages.
- Weather proof units required to work in the environmental conditions of Delhi.
- Pilfer-proof station for communication to avoid hand-set theft.
- Communication stations will consist of desktop models for control rooms and wall/pole-mount models for marketplace locations.
Solutions Offered
- Connectivity from the control room to the market places was provided using optical fiber.
- System to work on the existing infrastructure which is also used by video. Ethernet ports would be made available at the respective locations in each marketplace.
